National HIV Testing Day (June 27) serves as a reminder to get tested for HIV, know your status and get linked to care and treatment. But did you know that 150,000 people in the United States alone are unaware they’re living with HIV?
That’s why the Foundation joined forces with Walmart; they share our vision of reaching people through affordable HIV testing and treatment for all. We’ve been working to expand access to HIV testing and prevention for communities across the US, and to create a huge network of compassionate health workers specialized in HIV care.
On this National HIV Testing Day, CEO of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Anne Aslett, joins Walmart Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Wig, to discuss their shared commitment to ending HIV stigma, promoting testing, and ensuring that everyone, everywhere has the resources and support they need for a healthy and fulfilling life.
