Today, we stand together on the brink of ending this epidemic, and we won’t waste that opportunity.
The Rocket Fund is the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s transformative campaign to accelerate innovative HIV solutions for marginalized communities, close critical gaps left by global funding cuts and tackle the stigma that continues to block access to lifesaving care. We’ve extended our goal to $200 million to ensure no one is left behind.
The LGBTQ+ community is disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. Men who have sex with men are 35x more likely to acquire HIV than the general population. Transgender women are 14x more likely.
For young people aged 15-19 globally, AIDS is among the main causes of death. In Sub-Saharan Africa, it is the leading cause. Young people are our future, and we are working to ensure that future is free from AIDS and the stigma around it.
People who inject drugs are 14x more likely to acquire HIV than the general population. To end AIDS, people who use drugs need treatment and care, not shame and stigma. AIDS isn’t over for anyone until it’s over for everyone.
We work with leading U.S. companies, tapping into their cutting-edge capabilities, to make HIV services available where inequity, stigma, and lack of resources keep people away from the treatment and services they need.
HIV infections are on the rise in EECA. The Rocket Fund supports RADIAN, our initiative which brings quality HIV/AIDS care and prevention services to people at risk of or living with HIV.
The Rocket Fund supports programs such as Tiko, a ground-breaking service in Kenya which integrates mental health services into HIV and sexual and reproductive health care.
Imagine a world where health inequity is a thing of the past. Together, we can make this a reality—and bring an end to AIDS. Your support is essential to making it happen.
