Leave a legacy that saves lives
Many of our supporters choose to include the Foundation in their long-term plans as a powerful way to support our mission and ensure their future wishes are clear. By leaving a legacy gift, you help us plan ahead and invest in bold, life-changing work that will benefit future generations.
Through our partnership with FreeWill, supporters in the U.S. can create their will for free, in just 20 minutes.

Elton JohnWhy make a bequest to the Foundation?
Leaving a gift to the Elton John AIDS Foundation in your will or living trust costs you nothing now and can be updated at any time. It’s a powerful way to honor your personal goals for your estate, while helping to create a future free from AIDS – with the added benefit of being tax effective.

HIV is not a terminal disease. You can live a perfectly healthy life. I take a lifesaving medication – it is my power pellet. I appreciate everything Elton John stands for in his support of communities impacted by HIV. That is why I chose to include the Foundation in my will.

UK INHERITANCE TAX BENEFIT
If an estate is worth more than £325,000 Inheritance Tax may be payable, however, under new UK tax law, most legacies and gifts in Wills to Charities are not subject to Inheritance Tax, and a gift of 10% or more of your estate in your Will to a charitable organization may reduce the amount of Inheritance Tax payable by an individual’s estate from 40% to 36%.
