About the Style Icon Competition
Style Icon invites fashion-forward tastemakers, welcoming people aged 18 and over from across North America to compete for $20,000, a feature in Flaunt Magazine, and an exclusive experience attending a Versace Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week. Style Icon supports the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation is a leader in the global response to HIV. Since 1992, the Foundation has raised more than $650 million to support over 3,100 projects in 102 countries, working to increase access to healthcare, combat LGBTQ+ stigma, and end the AIDS epidemic.

Is Style Icon a legitimate competition?
Style Icon is a legitimate competition inviting people aged 18 and over across North America to compete for a $20,000 cash prize, a feature in Flaunt Magazine, and an experience at Versace Fashion Week in Milan. Funds raised from Style Icon will support the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Does the Elton John AIDS Foundation run the Style Icon competition?
No. Colossal Management, LLC, a nationally registered professional fundraiser, operates the Style Icon competition on behalf of charitable grantmaker, DTCare. How is the Style Icon winner selected?

Where does the competition money go?
The funds to the Elton John AIDS Foundation will come from votes by donation through the competition. 100% of donations raised from votes by donation during the Style Icon competition will go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donation (minus competition fees/costs and a nominal percentage (1%) retained by DTCare), to the Elton John AIDS Foundation at the end of the competition. The grant will support Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to overcome HIV and LGBTQ+ stigma, discrimination, and neglect that prevents ending AIDS for everyone, everywhere.

Why DTCare?
Many charities with honorable missions lack the bandwidth to run effective fundraising campaigns year-round. Through this Competition, DTCare allows Elton John AIDS Foundation to spend more of their energy and focus on saving lives.
Where can I obtain a receipt for a purchased vote?
Upon making a vote by donation, a receipt is automatically generated and provided via email. Every vote by donation is deductible for federal income tax purposes where applicable. For any income tax deductions, we always recommend you speak with a CPA or a tax advisor. If you did not receive a receipt or need a copy, please email the competition support team directly at hello@styleicon.org. Does the Elton John AIDS Foundation have a role in choosing the winner?
The Elton John AIDS Foundation does not help choose the winner. The winner of the Style Icon competition is determined through public voting. No. Competitors and supporters in the Style Icon competition are not allowed to use the Foundation’s logo or registered trademarks on any personal competition page, social media site, or any other online platform.
